CLASS PARTICIPATION RULES

Keep Fitness is excited to now offer Keep Fitness Pilates group and private Pilates classes as part of our Club in our new Pilates studio. Your health and safety when taking part in our classes is important to us. Please take the time to read through the following simple rules to help things run smoothly and make sure everyone enjoys all our Club has to offer. By participating in our classes, you agree to be bound by these rules — which form part of the Gym Rules and apply in addition to our other rules, standard Terms and Conditions and Policies (which apply to all users of the Club). Failing to comply with these rules may result in a verbal warning and/or removal from the Club.

CLASS PARTICIPATION

We want you to enjoy your classes with us — so it is important that you:

  • You must prepare your own towel and mat. If you do not prepare them, you will not be able to participate in the class.
  • Let our staff know before any class of any limitations, medical conditions or pre-existing injuries which might impact upon your ability to participate in the class.
  • Work at your own pace, know your limitations and don’t overexert yourself.
  • Follow our staff’s instructions, including taking part in any pre-class fitness assessment.
  • Interact with our staff in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • Immediately stop participating in the class and ask our staff for assistance if you are experiencing pain, discomfort or dizziness at any time.
  • Do not improperly use our equipment; and
  • Promptly notify our staff if you identify any health or safety concerns.
  • Our studio is closed on national holidays, and the class timetable may also be subject to changes.

BOOKINGS AND CANCELLATIONS

  • Bookings are essential for our classes and can be made either online through our website or by speaking to one of our friendly staff.
  • Please aim to arrive at the Club at least 5 minutes prior to your scheduled class time so there are no delays.
  • Members must book at least 12 hours prior to their preferred class times. During the 12-hour period prior to your class, time changes, cancellations will be prohibited for Calamvale branch.
  • Members must book at least 1 hour prior to their preferred class times. During the 1 hour period prior to your class, time changes, cancellations will be prohibited for Southport branch.
  • If you don’t attend your scheduled class (No-Show), without providing such notice or reschedule it yourself, you will be automatically charged $10 per session.
  • You cannot transfer or gift your booking to anyone else, and any unused or expired credit or bookings will not be refunded.
  • We may need to vary or change our class schedule or cancel a class from time to time for any reason (including due to staff or operational requirements). If this occurs, we will do our best to give you as much notice as possible.

MEMBERSHIP AND CANCELLATION

Platinum & Gold Membership (Contracted Memberships)

  • After the expiration of the memberships, these memberships will convert into non-contract memberships, thus meaning that you may cancel anytime with a 2 weeks’ notice period.
  • Platinum and gold memberships will continue unless you contact us or visit us during staff hours to cancel.
  • Platinum & Gold membership is transferable without any fee.

Membership Holds and Cancellation Notice Period

  • Platinum memberships can be placed on hold for 8 weeks free annually, however fees after those 8 weeks will be $5/week of hold.
  • Gold memberships can be placed on hold for 4 weeks free annually, after those 4 weeks it will also be $5/week of hold.
  • Silver memberships (non-contract) can be placed on hold for 4 weeks free annually after those 4 weeks it will also be $5/week of hold.
  • Holding periods are not to be counted as cancellation notice periods.
  • Free promo periods are not to be counted as cancellation notice period.
  • Silver memberships will require a 2 week notice for cancellation.
  • The membership price may increase for various reasons, including inflation.

Debit transaction fails

  • If the payment fails, a Dishonour Fee will be incurred. Please make sure to check your account balance one day before the payment day.
  • You can log into the system with your username and password at any time to make overdue payments yourself.

TAILGATE FEE

If you allow anyone access to the Club without the approval of the Club staff (whether deliberately or inadvertently), including by allowing any other person to use your access key (Unauthorised Visitor):

  1. ) A Tailgate Fee( $150 ) will be immediately payable;
  2. ) You accept responsibility and liability for any injury, loss or damage of the Unauthorised Visitor; and
  3. ) Keep Fitness reserves the right to cancel your membership.
